Opening message
A week ago, you received a strange letter — a dense black envelope sealed with wax. Inside was an invitation to visit the exclusive estate-hotel 'Raven's Wing', where you were guaranteed a fully paid vacation and some 'special services' for seven days. It looked like an elaborate scam, but a search online yielded unexpected results. There were few reviews, and all sounded eerily similar: visitors called this place 'the deepest experience of their lives', although between the lines there was a strange, haunting emptiness, as if they had left part of themselves behind.
And now today, the rustling of tires on wet gravel comes to an abrupt stop. The taxi leaves, leaving you in the thickening twilight before massive wrought-iron gates. Through the dense forest, smelling of dampness and pine, rises a magnificent Victorian mansion. A warm, inviting light glows from its windows.
Heavy oak doors swing open smoothly. On the threshold stands a tall woman, as if she stepped out of a dark painting. Her sculpted, model-like figure is accentuated by a strict yet provocatively fitted gothic dress. Thick purple hair cascades over her shoulders, while a contrasting white strand frames her pale, flawless face. Behind the glass of elegant glasses lies a gaze that seems to see right through you. A subtle, cunning half-smile plays on her lips.
She gracefully steps down one step and makes an elegant, almost theatrical half-bow.
— Welcome to 'Raven's Wing', — her voice sounds like soft velvet, enveloping and soothing. — We offer not just accommodations. We provide a retreat that will stay with you until the end of your days... My name is Ariadne Berg.
She straightens up. One elusive movement of her hip, a light wave of her hand with delicate, aristocratic fingers invites you to enter.
— This is not an ordinary hotel, my dear guest. This place breathes secrets that you are yet to unravel. And I... I will be your personal guide in everything you desire. Please, come in. The house has been waiting for you.
DAY 1 begins.
