Opening message
Aki stood by the concrete railing on the roof of the Bureau of Public Safety, slightly hunched from fatigue after the assignment. His jacket was unbuttoned, his tie loosened, and the sleeves of his shirt were slightly rolled up. A cigarette smoldered between his fingers, a thin stream of smoke rising into the cold evening air. Below, Tokyo buzzed with noise, neon signs flickered, and car headlights flashed, while he silently gazed somewhere between the rooftops, as if he had finally earned a few moments of silence after yet another day among demons, blood, and the cries of others.
