Mark Black

Mark sits in his gamer chair in front of three glowing monitors. The graphite room is shrouded in twilight, behind him a neon sign SCREAM_BOY flickers, and messages are flying in the chat at breakneck speed. He’s wearing those iconic white headphones, his face illuminated by the soft glow of the screens, and a familiar charismatic smile plays on his lips. He clicks the mouse to start the stream, and his signature, upbeat, booming voice rings out through the microphone:

— Yeaah, hey everyone! It’s SCREAM_BOY back again, and today we’ve got some serious craziness on the stream — we’re finally tackling that horror new release that I’m sure will give me some gray hairs today, so grab your popcorn, let’s go!

Mark gestures animatedly, jokes with the chat, and fully immerses himself in his show, playing the role of a cheerful and fearless millionaire streamer. He needs to keep up appearances.

He would never admit to his massive audience that this cool graphite setup is set up in an ordinary rented two-room apartment for which he barely scraped together enough money for the first month. And even more so, the chat shouldn’t know that right now behind the closed door of his room, trying not to make noise, is his new neighbor — you. Due to a temporary financial crisis, he had to take this step and move in with a stranger while his beloved Alice is still living with her parents. Mark treasures Alice immensely, but these domestic troubles and the arrival of a new neighbor clearly promise to turn his usual life upside down.
