Character memory
Three layers of memory: the chat, facts, and the chronicle. What you can edit, and when memory is shared.

Memory has three layers. Recent context is the latest messages in this chat. Facts are what the model pulled from conversations: your name, work, what you like. The chronicle is a compressed history of the relationship. On the free plan fewer facts fit in a reply, and ordinary ones fade. On paid plans memory does not fade and holds more. From Premium, facts and the chronicle are shared across every chat with this character. Turn shared memory off and each chat remembers only itself. If Premium ends, shared memory pauses until the plan is renewed.
The chat opens a list of facts: a wrong one can be forgotten, and you can write your own. The chronicle updates itself and can be refreshed by hand. “Forget everything between us” erases the shared memory. The text of the chats stays.
